Hello fellow Goddess-
Thank you all for coming and being a part of the Goddess Disc Golf community. I hope this weekend provides big smiles, lots laughter and hearty hugs. As I told our sponsors I want this event to provide an opportunity to build new friendships and strengthen old ones.
Humboldt County provides many courses for us to enjoy and we will be playing at three different courses. Each has a beauty and difficulty all of it’s own.
The Briar Patch is a special course. Privately owned and not well known, we must be aware of our actions so our access to it remains. Park 4 has access issues as well. PAR INFINITY works hard so we all may spend time throwing discs here. With both of these courses we must aware we are in residential areas and neighbors do not like to be disturbed. Respect the space so we may continue our right to disc here.
The curtain is an old course that has developed over the years. There are a lot of trees, ferns, trilliums and other fragile vegetation. Please try to not trample the beauty and serenity of the course. Stay on trails where possible and obey the fern rule.
I want to thank every person who has made it possible for this event to occur! Jamie and Katie for starting it in 2006. Katie for helping with sponsors and showing me what it takes to organize a tournament. Veronica for making the trophies. All of our amazing sponsors. Par Infinity for fighting for our right to play golf. Niki and Jim for helping me with the many steps along the way. Thank you to Nate (Keebler) for his support and patience through-out the organization and frustrations of putting this tournament together. Also to you ladies for showing men how to truly throw a disc.
